Who Is Janifer?

Jenifer was my grandmother’s maiden name on my mother’s side of the family. Through family curiosity, we traced her ancestors back to Daniel of St. Thomas Jenifer. He signed the U.S. Constitution for the State of Maryland. But, he was a man of mystery. According to a worn newspaper clipping from long ago, Where Lies Jenifer,” there were more questions than answers. Read more
